Welcome to HomeBuilders – FBC’s young married ministry. Our desire is to glorify God by evangelizing, discipling, and edifying young married couples so they will live under the daily control of the Holy Spirit, raise their children to serve the Lord and be actively involved in the ministry of Faith Baptist Church.

 

SCOPE

Our Young Married ministry is designed for married couples in their 20’s and early 30’s – a time when many couples are establishing their homes and starting families.  The right foundation is critical to any building process.  Helping couples build a Christ-centered marriage and family is a key focus of the HomeBuilders ministry.

 

GOALS
As a ministry, our goals are that young married couples would:

· Come to know Christ as their Savior.

· Grow in the knowledge of the Lord and of His Word.

· Allow the Holy Spirit to control their lives.

· Be actively involved in the ministry of FBC increasing in faithfulness, service and stewardship.

· Be able to fellowship with other like-minded couples.

· Reach others for Christ in the Alton/Godfrey area and on the mission field.

 

PROGRAMS

 

Bible Study
We meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. for a time of Bible study and fellowship. Our study time begins with a time of fellowship.  We will spend some time taking prayer request and then praying for each other.  We will have a time of Bible study, which applies biblical instruction to marriage and family issues.

Fellowship
We have a number of activities planned for 2006 that give you an opportunity to fellowship with other like-minded Christian couples.  Our desire is to have one activity per month.  We will alternate every other month with a couple’s night (no children) out and a family night (with children).  We also plan to have an after glow 1 time per month.

Outreach
As believers desiring to fulfill our Lord’s command, we are interested in seeing others come to Christ. We are active in the outreach ministry of FBC. Tuesday evenings are our designated time for organized outreach and visitation. We are also planning to participate in periodic trips to the mission field as planned by FBC.

Retreats
Taking time away from the routine for spiritual growth as a couple is important. We are planning to participate in an annual couples retreat to help couple grow closer to Christ and each other.
